About the Spice:

Our family spice was created by Bruce Smallwood. Bruce's love of cooking for his family was the impetus for all the recipes that we continue to borrow from him to share at home with our families. Also known as "GrandDad", Bruce is an indirect descendant of General Smallwood, since the General never actually had children of his own. Our family is in direct lineage of Gen. William Smallwood's brother, Hebard Smallwood, who also fought in the Revolutionary War. Bruce's son, Brad Smallwood is now marketing this spice with Bruce's permission. For years, we have actually been calling this spice, "Bruce's Spice". But we Smallwoods are avid history buffs and cooks. We know our heritage and we know that this is a general purpose spice, so why not name it after The General? He has served us well before. So, serve it up!
